Girls Gone Wild-Christmas

Oh, I love this season because it gives us gals one more reason to get together. Dana hosted this year and she pulled out the most hilarious game. If you watch Ellen you will recognize it. The goal is to get the marshmallow in your mouth while your head is being pulled back by an elastic. Not the most attractive pictures, but definitely the most fun game for a party. I am proud to say I got two marshmallows, thank you very much. I am not so proud to say I got the flossing of my life and my gums still hurt.

"Guys, our moms are crazy. What do you say let's get out of here before we're subjected to anymore of this embarrassment. Mmmmm. Too bad none of us can walk yet."


Summy kept trying to hold Beckem's hand but he wouldn't have it. Look at her sticking her tongue out at him. She wanted his attention so bad but he was playing it cool. Good boy Becks. No kissing until you two get married.

I made everyone these home made slippers. Really they are just feminine pads with Christmas ribbon. Thanks for the idea Carrie. They were a fun gag gift and Summy thought they were quite comfy.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fu-un!!!

Dana wore an awesome "unit" (remember those?) and I used more hairspray than any hair-do requires. Seriously, my hair felt like an over styled poodle.

Yo', Jen's bodacious mom and sister threw her the raddest surprise 30th birthday party. We all had to dress up in 80's attire and I think we met the challenge in a boss way. They had a fun "Amazing 80's Race" planned for us so we hit the city in our dope ensembles lookin' for studs and feelin' stellar.
1. Our first stop was our old Alma mater, West Jordan High School, where a basketball game had just ended. We had to make up a schweet dance routine in front of the school and perform it on camera. I think we still have it ladies.
2. Our second stop was the Hummel residence. Amber's parents were waiting for us and when we arrived we had to sing our school fight song. Luckily, we had a poster with words because it has been a while.
3. Next, we hit our old post-game hang out Sconecutter. Sadly, it was deserted. I guess it isn't the "cool" place to chill anymore. We shared a shake and had to answer questions pertaining to our High School days. I was surprised at how much we have all forgotten over the last eleven years. It was great fun reminiscing. We have shared a great deal of ups and downs together. We have also shared too many hilarious moments to count.
4. The night was still young as we made our way to Shopko, a place where half of my friends worked back in the day. We had to find 20 items for $30 and we completely FAILED! We misjudged by quite a bit. Mr. Nellis would be severely disappointed in our math skills.
5. Our last adventure took place at West Jordan Middle School. We had to make up a music video as we sang to "Girls Just Want To Have Fun". We each had to have a solo and I chose to pull out some awesome break dancing moves during mine. A- I cannot break dance and B- my back is never going to heal and C-it was totally worth it. If anyone would like to see the video I am sure it will be on U-tube eventually. That or MTV. We were quite fantabulous.

I absolutely LOVE that nobody acted too cool to participate. If anything I think we are all more adventurous than we were in High School because we couldn't care less what people think of us. (Not that we ever did.) Thanks Gale and Jill for hosting such a fabulous evening and Happy Birthday Jen! I am so glad you were in town for your big day and that we got to celebrate together. It was definitely a night to remember fer sure. For us, and for all who had the pleasure of witnessing our charades. I am totally stoked for the next party.

Still Hangin' Tough

So, New Kids on the Block was sooooo incredibly fun tonight. I will eventually post some pics, but until then you can check out Kristen's blog. She is really on top of things and has already created a slide show.
I hope by kids are as lucky as me to have such wonderful friends. We have know each other for 14+ years and are still so close. Through the good, the bad and the Danny's (get it girls?) we have always stuck together. I love my girlfriends and feel incredibly blessed to have them in my life. We have more fun now than I think we did in High School. And now, we don't have curfews. LET'S GET THIS!!!

Witches Night Out......

Yeah, we were the DB's who didn't dress up. Gardner Village has a fun tradition every year where everyone dresses up and shops, eats yummy food, cackles for coupons and did I mention eats? We had planned on getting all decked out in witch attire, but it snuck up on us this year. It was still a fun night-we just looked out of place. Good times ladies. I think my teeth are STILL covered with taffy and caramel apple.

Pageant

Mike's mom, sister and I have this annual GNO where we see this awesome play in Park City. It hasn't been on stage for a couple of years so when I saw it was back I was THRILLED! Unfortunately, we caught these guys after they had taken off their makeup and heels. The guy on my right(with the Utah hat) is actually a fellow Pottery Barn worker. He has played Miss Texas all three times I have seen it and he is seriously the best! Marc is the other guy in the picture and he has played Miss Great Plains all three years I have seen it as well. If you are looking for a fun night out with the girls, definitely check it out. It is playing for a couple more weeks and is worth the drive. Word to the wise: DON'T BRING THE GUYS! Mike came one year and he thought it was creapy. Especially because one of the "girls" was actually pretty hot. The amazing thing is that they have a swimsuit competition and you cannot SEE anything! (They tuck really well.) I will have to get a photo from Doug of them in their beauty gowns and wigs because they are so HILARIOUS!

BTW, I am SO not ready for it to be this cold. Mike and I stayed overnight in Park City a couple of weeks ago and it was beautiful. Last night my tushie was FROZEN!

BREAKING DAWN

Yes, I am a crazy Stephenie Meyers fan and I went to the midnight release party at Gateway. It was a fun girls night out too. Rachel, Lizy, me, Melody and Summer (sleeping in the car seat behind us) had dinner and pigged out on yummy Cheesecake(from Cheesecake Factory, of course) before heading downtown. I haven't accomplished much since I started reading it but I am finally finished! It is so good. I especially loved the ending when Bella drives a stake through Edwards heart for cheating on her with a Zombie. Bet none of you saw that coming. I won't really ruin the ending for you fans, but I will say that I was not disappointed. I am extremely sleep deprived but it is well worth it. Thanks gals, it was a lot of fun.

Ladies night!

I went to the Tim McGraw concert with a bunch of girlfriends because he is the best thing to happen to tight jeans and tank tops. (His music is pretty awesome too.) Luckily I didn't go into labor but ,ironically, a girl next to us almost did.




Thanks to Kristen's hubby, Jesse, we got to park in VIP parking and a free ride to will call to pick up our tickets. We love you officer Powell. The greatest thing about hitching a ride on the security cart was the driver. There was no horn so she kept yelling out, "beep beep".

I don't know what was in the air (or the beer), but everyone around us was getting it on. This couple portrayed the nastiest scene of affection I have ever seen. Let's just say there was too much rubbing and touching and grinding than anyones needs to see-EVER. And, as if that weren't bad enough, at the end of the night he said to her, "It was nice meeting you" and walked off! They didn't even know each other!!! We were dying at how funny it was and I hate to confess I peed my pants a little bit from laughing too hard. Thanks pregnancy! Oh yeah, notice the girls next to them. They were making out too. Not just with each other either. There were other girls and even some guy thrown into the mix as well. Timmy draws quite the crowd! That, or maybe we do. To say the least, it was a very entertaining evening, and Tim wasn't bad either!

Race for the Cure

In May, Kristi, Jody, Val, Leesa and Kriste participated in Race for the Cure. (Mike and Melody were there too, but they had already started running.) It was a little uncomfortable to walk three miles 30 weeks pregnant, but Leesa made it.
