WINTER WONDERLAND

Posted by Picasa
On Grandpa's birthday he took us tubing at Soldier Hollow. Getting out in the snow makes me LOVE winter and truly appreciate living in Utah. We have it all, don't we? It was a beautiful day and we basically had the hill to ourselves. This enabled us to do run after run after run.....thank goodness for the rope tow or we would have been exhausted.
I have been bummed lately because we haven't had a chance to go boarding yet, so this definitely lifted my spirits. Especially because we were able to share it with the kids. Although Summer was too little to go down the hill, she enjoyed being pulled around in the mini tube by Trace. Kids are so cute bundled up to the point they can no longer move. (Maybe that is what I love about them being bundled?)I cannot wait for the day we can all go skiing together. Thanks again papa.

Cryo-Creamery

Some of our best friends introduced us to the tastiest treat. It is called SUB ZERO ICE CREAM and it is FANTASTIC! This is coming from a girl who does not even like ice cream. Luckily it is in Orem, because it is so delicious I crave it all the time and my waistline would quickly expand. Check them out. It is a unique, fun and YUMMY experience.

6 Months of Summer

I know it sounds cliche but WHERE DOES THE TIME GO? Summer is 6 months old now and I cannot believe it.
She has brought so much happiness and fun to our family. She has the sweetest little smile and a contagious laugh. I keep expecting the boys to get bored with her, but everyday the first thing they want to do is give her kisses. They are both wrapped around her finger. She is the family peacemaker too. Whenever the boys are fighting, yelling, tattling -WHATEVER- as soon as Summy enters the room Trace and Ev run to her and want to feed her, play with her, tell her a joke, sing her a song, or just tell her how much they love her.
She is eating solid food and sitting up by herself (though sometimes not for long), saying "Mamma", scooting on her back, reaching for EVERYTHING and growing like crazy. Her favorite things are her brothers, her feet (they are usually in her mouth), her Cabbage Patch doll, cars (I guess that is what happens when you have two big brothers.), her fluffy blanket, and food. She is very talented at blowing raspberries and spitting up all over-ugh.
I love to watch my children's personalities develop, but the older they get the more I realize how quickly time is passing. My babies aren't going to babies forever.......

See Any Familiar Faces?

That was our family's latest five seconds of fame. Kind of cheesy but a lot of fun. The boys kept saying they were movie stars all day when we filmed. Now, I don't think they even remember doing it.

TOP 10 OF 2008

So I copied this idea from my friend Alicia. I am terrible at keeping a journal so blogging is for my posterity. :)
Top 10 of 2008 (Not in any particular order.)
1. Adding Summer Daisy to our family. She is such a loved little girl. I love to watch the boys dote over her.
2. The Burtons and Randalls moving back to Utah-FINALLY!
3. Going to the Monster Truck finals in Las Vegas with the boys. I know we are totally ghetto but we love those big, loud crazy trucks.
4. Helping Tracy learn to read even if he now asks questions such as "What is an adult book store?" Kids grow so fast. It is fascinating to watch it happen.
5. Coaching Tracy's soccer team. Even if I was eight months pregnant and Tracy hated it, it was a fun experience.
6. Watching Everett's HUGE personality come out of his little body. He has a way of making making you smile even when he is telling you "no mommy". It just sounds so adorable in his little voice it is hard to get mad.
7. St. George/Vegas with the girls. It was a fun weekend of reminiscing, staying up late, the price is right and lots of food!
8. Finally becoming a sheep in the reality TV world and discovering So You Think You Can Dance. When I was on bed rest Mike and I became obsessed. We even paid to see them when they came to SLC and it was GREAT!
9.Going to the New Kids on the Block concert. That's right.
10. Discovering the worlds of blogging and Face book and reconnecting with friends.

Let's do Another one Papa!

Tracy was so sad when we told them he wasn't going over to my parents' on New Years so they slept over the next night. Tracy ended up being sick and throwing up all night but that's another story. Mindy Made this.

Yay Us !

Today is our 8th Anniversary! I just want Leesa to know how great she is, and how much I love Her! She is such a great Mother and wife. Leesa is the reason I look forward to coming home after work. She is so amazing at whatever she does, whether it is helping the kids learn, dressing the kids, dressing me, scapbooking, blogging, Planing parties, decorating, she is so smart and funny and I just adore her. So Happy Anniversary Babe, too bad the kids are all sick and we can't go out tonight, but I have something planned anyway. Hug hug, kiss kiss, hug hug, big kiss, little hug, kiss kiss, little kiss.
