Race for the Cure
Thank you for all of you who joined my team, donated to my team, ran the race or just wished me good luck. Team "Busting Butts for Busts" would not have been a success without you. I really wanted to have a potluck lunch after the race but we are all getting over the flu and I didn't think it would be a good way to thank you by getting you all sick. Next year I will make up for it. I want to personally thank: Mike and my little ones, Val, Jody, Kriste, Jody, Dana, Amy, Kelley, Ted, Mindy, Lizy, Rachel, Cory, Doyle, Sari and any of you who donated or ran with other teams. If I am a jerk and left you out please tell me so I can recognize you too. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANKYOU! I appreciate the support and hope to see you all next year. If you have any good ideas for a team name please pass them on. I kind of like Bubbas "hooray for boobies" slip. Hee hee hee. He is getting married in a few months and has one thing on his mind. :)

Real Men Wear Pink in the Rink!
Nothing like a good old fashioned game of hockey to teach your kids about good sportsmanship. :) We went to the Grizzly game last week and WOW!, what a game. The Grizz tied it up in the last 20 seconds, we went into overtime and finally a shootout! Not to mention the many, many fistfights that broke out. I love hockey. The Grizzlies won and we had a fabulous time. It was the Pink in the Rink game where a portion of your proceeds go toward supporting breast cancer research. It is a fun event because the ice is pink and the team wears pink jerseys.

Health For The Cure Blog
I have been secretly working on a new blog over the last week and although there is much I would like to still do on it, I think it is ready to be checked out. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. We will still have this family blog, my new one is focused on health (mostly women's), exercise, nutrition and other issues. I still have many things to add, but this is what it looks like so far.......HEALTH FOR THE CURE

JOIN THE ARMY OF WOMEN

Because it is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you are likely to see a lot of posts regarding this issue from me. I hope you are all giving yourselves self-exams, getting mammograms and taking care of yourselves. Women are too important and we want to stop losing so many of us to this awful disease. One way to help is to join the ARMY OF WOMEN. Thanks for sending me the link Sari. I challenge all of you to tell at least 5 people to start doing monthly exams and getting mammograms at the appropriate time. If you are curious as to when that time is for you, I have posted a link on my "get in the pink" icon on the left. If just one person finds cancer before it is too late, you have saved a life!
